Mid-week ski

Time to start planning a one-day ski-blitz to the slopes. I have my evil ski-buddy lined up. We have our "power chick music" (stuff like sound track from Charlie's Angels - my fav road trip music). We're looking at January - post 12th Night so that if we break a leg, we won't be hobbling around in hoop skirts at SCA-con. hahahahaha! But seriously - that's why we're planning post 12th Night.

We're discussing where we can get to from Concord in less than 4 hrs.

We've done:
1. Bear Valley (lots and lots)
2. Dodge Ridge (a few times - not very big)

Any other slope recommendations? I'll map-google for driving distance and times. Looking for

-long runs,
-lots of advanced-intermediate runs.
-Cute lift operators ... (lol- cute operators optional! Operators that are FAST to clear snow and wipe-outs even better.
-possible recommendations for private/semi-private lessons. I'm toying with booking a private lesson to help me get down those black-diamonds in better style.

Coworkers sugggested Northstar. Anything else?

Squaw Valley is lots of fun too. But for advanced/intermediate, I agree that Northstar is great.

Have fun!!

[info]ysabella_dolfin: We always loved Sugar Bowl

It's really gorgeous up there and you can get dinner in Truckee before you come home (I highly reccomend Bar of America/ Pacific Crest).
